5. Is there a store or restaurant nearby.

  • Silton, which is about 12 minutes away has a clean and well-stocked general store. Lumsden which is 25 minutes away has a very large well stocked grocery store. We suggest if our guests are getting groceries in Regina, they USE A COOLER TO TRANSPORT FOODS that need to be kept COLD.
  • There is a small food bar at the junction of highway 11 and 20 when turning at the Lumsden exit coming towards Craven called the Snack Shack which serves a good variety of hamburgers and ice cream etc. As well, Silton and Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Park have small food bars.

8. What is the lake like for swimming?

  • Last Mountain Lake (nicknamed Long Lake) is over 70 miles long and very deep in various parts. It is a typical Saskatchewan Lake. We have built sand beaches for our guests use. The shore is somewhat rocky but water shoes work great. The water temperature is good for swimming. There are occasions when the temperatures are extremely high with little wind, resulting in algae settling on the lake. We suggest you do not swim at these times. Usually this only lasts for part of a day.

9. What about a longer term LEASE, as opposed to renting

  • Some addition leasing information can be found here
