Bird enthusiasts will enjoy
Last Mountain Lake Nature Wildlife Area,
the first federal bird sanctuary in North America.
Thousands
of birds travel through this refuge between their southern wintering
grounds and their northern breeding grounds. Over 280 species of birds
have been recorded at Last Mountain Lake during migration. Nine of
Canada’s 36 species of endangered birds such as the Whooping Crane,
the Burrowing Owl and the Loggerhead Shrike can be found here.
A canoe and all the necessary equipment is available for our guests to
spend a morning paddling along the shoreline. If you are an avid
fishermen, rent a boat and try your hand at catching walleye(pickerel),

The kids will enjoy playing a round of mini-golf or an ice-cream treat at
Rowan’s Ravine
Provincial Park. The “big” kids will appreciate the course and scenery
at Deer Valley Golf Course.
